Should Contractors Notify Workers of Potential Layoffs?

Barrack Obama is playing politics with federal labor law which requires a 60-day notice of layoffs does not apply to  the January 1, 2013  sequester.   Because many defense firms would see their revenue slashed, several Pentagon contractors have said they would have to provide their employees with layoff notices to comply with a federal labor law, known as WARN, requiring federal contractors to give notice 60 days  to its employes before impending layoffs.  The White House is choosing political expediency – no potential pink slips before the election – over being honest with defense industry employees.
