Neither of the two, however, was able to point to a persuasive difference in terms of principle between the two presidents.

Nevertheless, an interesting explanation was given by Hollywood actor Samuel L. Jackson for the reluctance of some to tolerate random extrajudicial killings under Obama, but comparative silence on “torture” under Bush.
“You didn’t want to f–k with Dick Cheney,” Jackson said.
