It’s All on The Line Saturday Night: Let's Get Ready to Rumble!!

“Winning is not a sometime thing, it is an all the time thing. You don’t do things right once in a while…you do them right all the time.  Unless a man believes in himself and makes a total commitment to his career and puts everything he has into it – his mind, his body, and his heart – what’s life worth to him?”

—Vince Lombardi

Obviously Coach Lombardi never met Barrack Obama.

The Packers are 7.5-point favorites at home over the Minnesota Vikings in this Saturday night's opening-round playoff game for the George Hallis Trophy.

With a record of (11-5, 7-1 home) the Pack takes on the Vikings (10-6, 3-5 away) at Lambeau Field on Saturday, January 5  in the NFC Wild Card round. How To Choose a Bottle Of Champagne

Most of us feel pretty comfortable choosing beer for a special occasion, but when it comes to wine or champaign,  we imagine most of us are tentative and use price as our  guideline.  Have no fear this year—FIJ to the rescue with our guide to how to choose a bottle of champagne.  After a trip to Paris in 2001, my wife and I became hooked on Taittinger Champagne—pricey at around $50/bottle, but to our simple American pallets, it’s the best Champaign we have ever tasted, but the price tag is why we only buy it for special occasions.  Someone gave us a bottle of Dom Perignon Champaign on our wedding day—we weren’t impressed.  All the hype over Dom Perignon is exactly that—hype.  Another favorite of ours is Moet & Chandon; priced in the same range as Taittinger—its an excellent substitute for Taittinger if you are having trouble finding Taittinger.  Sendik's Market carries Taittinger and I have picked it up for under $50 on a couple of occasions.

GOOD GRIEF! Church Calls Off “Charlie Brown’ Christmas Show Amid Controversy Another assalt on Christmas

I don’t recognize America anymore, do you?

Here is what the local conservative talk radio had to say on this ridiculous situation in Little Rock AK.

In the simplest terms, could the vilification of religion in America, particularly Christianity be a contributing factor to events like Newtown, CT, Virginia Tech massacre and the Columbine High School massacres?

The breakdown of families is, in my opinion also has a major influence on these sorts of events.  My Mom didn’t own a  Thompson machine gun when I was growing up—did yours?
