Like our contemporaries my brother and sister grew up with Hostess brands—Wonder bread, Hostess Twinkies, cupcakes and fruit pies (my favorites), Ho Hos and Suzy Qs (my brother’s favorites). The Fiscal Times had this fun story about “11Eleven Foods You Can't Buy Anywhere Anymore.”
The Fiscal Times takes a look at what consumers may be driving a few decades from now. Check out more of these stunning designs like the Mercedes Benz F-125 Concept (pictured above).
Time Magazine has nominated a left-wing hero for its annual honor.
According to Jim Kelly, managing editor of TIME magazine, candidates are chosen based on TIME's classic definition of the magazine's Person of the Year—which is the person who most affected the events of the year, for better or for worse. I think what has happened over the years is that the Man of the Year title, Person of the Year title, has become non-honorific. It was never meant to be solely that. Read more.

“… The great rule of conduct for us in regard to foreign nations is, in extending our commercial relations to have with them as little political connection as possible. So far as we have already formed engagements let them be fulfilled with perfect good faith. Here let us stop. …”
Surely if we could readily find information about this terror organization with roots dating back to WWII and ties to Hitler’s Third Reich, couldn’t the White House?
This is the motto of the Muslim Brotherhood, which was founded in Egypt as a vehicle to establish a worldwide Islamic empire governed by shariah law:
"God is our Goal. The Prophet is our leader. The Quran is our constitution. Jihad is our way. Death in the service of God is the loftiest of our wishes. God is great, God is great.”

Many years ago, a phrase was coined by the leaders of the Soviet Union to describe those in the West who naively promoted the cause of Russian Communism when in reality they were held in contempt and were being cynically used by the Soviet hierarchy. The term "useful idiot" more than ever applies to a vast swath of citizens in the United States who have been cynically used by the hardcore left for a cause they are unwilling to understand.

The English colonists we call Pilgrims celebrated days of thanksgiving as part of their religion. But these were days of prayer, not days of feasting.
Our national holiday really stems from the feast held in the autumn of 1621 by the Pilgrims and the Wampanoag tribe to celebrate the colony's first successful harvest. It's a reasonable rendition of the Pilgrim and Indian Thanksgiving history might have looked like.
If you’re looking for a Christmas comedy movie that is a little different from the traditional fare, we highly recommend the 1994, little-known film “Trapped in Paradise” starring Nicholas Cage, Jon Lovitz and Dana Carvey as the bumbling wannabe bank robbers Firpo brothers. "Trapped in Paradise" is one of the favorites in my collection of Christmas movies.
Summary
Though tempted by crime, Bill Firpo (Nicholas Cage) has managed to stay on the right road, unlike his jailbird brothers, compulsive liar Dave (Jon Lovitz) and kleptomaniac Alvin (Dana Carvey). After prison-overcrowding leads to an early parole for Dave and Alvin, they get Bill to take them to Paradise, PA., where on Christmas Eve; the three brothers pull off the easiest bank robbery imaginable. Leaving the literally nice-little-town of Paradise though, is not as easy as they imagined.
"Trapped in Paradise"is a real "sleeper" in that one would never expect such a plot could produce such a funny movie--this is a credit to the Cage, Lovitz and Carney and the supporting cast.
